Runescape – Dungeoneering Skill Guide
Introduction
Dungeoneering is a skill where players explore dungeons in “raids” and explore rooms and beat a boss. In this skill, you don’t need any items or equipment as it is all supplied for you. I would recommend playing this as a member as Jagex released an update which nerfed the experience which non-members get and member also get the benefit of the full skill.
To get to the location to train the skill (called Daemonheim), you can either take the boat from behind the Al-Kharid bank, walk there from the wilderness or teleport there directly with the ring recieved from the tutor in front of the main castle. When you get the ring of kinship, you can right-click it and select the option to open the party interface. Then you will get an interface that replaces the quest tab which will look like this:

With this, you can either form a party and collect a team or solo a dungeon, or you can create a team, join a team and go free-for-all which basically makes a team out of random people. When you enter, you will to choose the floor then the complexity. The lower the floor, the higher the level required and the higher the experience earned is. This will be discussed below.
Floor
When choosing a floor, you can only enter a floor when you completed the floor 1 earlier. For example, you can’t enter floor 21 without completing floor 20 even if you have the level required to enter the floor. The floors have different types. These areas will tell you which bosses you will be able to fight and which creature you will find. At floor 12, you will change types for the first time.

Complexity
The complexity levels determines the difficulty of the level. Choosing a lower complexity determines the things you have to do in the dungeon. Lower complexities also have a negative effect on the amount of experience you earn for completing dungeons.

Teams
When you are in a team, you can select the type of game it is. This is the amount of people the game is built for. Having a higher amount of people in team compared to the amount of people the dungeon is built for, your team will get a penalty.
Dungeon Size
Dungeon size is basically the size of the dungeon. The larger you make the dungeon, the more bonus experience you will get for completing it.
Prestige
Players get prestige based on the floors they do in a row. This does not count for floors done multiple times and floors done multiple times will get 0 prestige. Prestige is basically experience added to your account after finishing the dungeon. The higher your prestige level, the more experience you will get for prestige. For example, a player may get a prestige of 20 and get 1000 experience for prestige alone, but, they redid a floor, the prestige will become a grand total of 0.
Bosses
Every dungeon has a boss depending on the floor. The bosses have different combat levels depending on the level of the character(s). Bosses each have a unique skill, for example, the Gluttonous Behemoth heals when a player is not standing in front of it’s food.

Skills
As Jagex promised, this skill uses all skills. Because of this, having a high level for all skills is important. Having skill levels 80+ helps a lot in accessing more of the dungeon and use more items. Some skills allow you to open doors and others allow you to collect and use resources.
Puzzles
Along the way, you may stumble into a puzzle. This can include mazes and ice sliding puzzles. Most of them have a simple solution, others are really confusing and may take a while to figure out how to complete. If you are stuck on a puzzle, you can search it up on Google.
Binding Items
Binding items allows you to keep the item for a later run. You are allowed to bind 1 item and 1 ammunition but more is allowed to be kept later as you get more levels. When you bind an item, you will see a (b) symbol next to the item. When bound, you cannot unbind it to bind another item, but you can destroy it to bind another item. Bound items cannot be traded or sold.
Smuggler
Smuggler is a NPC who stands in every single floor buying and selling goods. He can also tell you information about items and may even help you defeat a boss. He sells all resources and buys basically every single item, except bound items. He stands in the room in which you start in.

Rewards
Rewards for this skill includes many useful things including:a bone crusher, 2 prayers, a large variety or weapons, a coal bag and many more. These rewards cost reward points. After each level, you receive 10% of the experience earned into reward tokens. If you are a few experience short of 1 other token, it will not be rounded. These tokens are used to buy rewards and can be traded for dungeoneering experience (1:1 ratio).
Skill cape
The skill cape is obtained at level 99 like all other skill capes. But, the trimmed skill cape can only be obtained when you get to level 120 which is called, “true skill mastery”. When you have “true skill mastery”, your cape will become trimmed. Level 120 is approx. 104 million experience. The skill cape seller is Thok, Master of Dungeoneering. He does not wear the skill cape as he himself has not obtained “true skill mastery” and is only able to sell the cape.

Journal
The journal can be accessed from the ring. Players can obtain journals by killing creatures whom may drop it or killing a boss. The journal can be read from the ring even if the actual document is destroyed.
Items
The items you should realised are named differently compared to items found outside of Daemonheim. They are divided into tiers. Each tier requires a certain level to use. The higher the tier, the more expensive, the higher the level required to use it is and the more rarer it is to find.
Hope this basic guide helped you,
Cheers!
